During the last 2 weeks, the children have enjoyed exploring the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. Children have been on a shape hunt around school to spot shapes in the everyday environment. Next, we looked at what 2D shapes are within 3D shapes which led us to experiment with the shapes to try and roll, build and stack etc. We discussed how the properties effect the outcome of our models and how we might need to change our design to achieve our intended outcome.
