Oak Meadow Primary School has been named as Primary School of the Year for 2025! Our Headteacher, Mr. Lane, expressed his gratefulness for all stakeholders in accepting the award at a prestigious ceremony:

 

‘This award belongs to everyone who is part of our wonderful Oak Meadow Family with appreciation for all that you do, validating how by working together we are making a significant difference for the children and our community. We know that without parents’ and carers’ continued support, voluntary efforts and unwavering commitment to the school this recognition would not be possible – thank you so much. 

 

I would like to express my gratitude to the St. Batholomew’s CE Trust and our Local Governing Board who provide us with support as well as pathway opportunities to ensure success year on year. Creating a foundation for the future of Oak Meadow is extremely important to me and, working in conjunction with the Trust and Governors, I am driven towards assuring standards today whilst shaping the Oak Meadow of tomorrow. 

 

Furthermore, I would like to celebrate the magnificent staff at our school, everything they give for the children and the pivotal role they play. The Oak Meadow adults are defined by their resilient, enthusiastic and motivated approach, with their unrelenting desire to go above and beyond - they are a true inspiration in the work they do, often unseen but always for the children. I am fortunate to lead such a formidable team who so richly deserve this recognition for all their efforts – thank you all.

 

Finally, children – take a bow!  I never tire of telling the children how they are the very best!  I see it every day as they mirror the exemplary environment and opportunities that are all around them.  An Oak Meadow child shines as brightly as the stars with the innate ability to continually absorb the skills and knowledge to achieve their dreams and aspirations.  This award is a sign again for the children, that with desire and dedication, you can achieve anything you put your heart and mind to.’
