To celebrate Diwali in Year 6, we used our scientific understanding of shadows to create a puppet show to re-tell the story of Rama and Sita. First, children crafted a puppet theatre out of boxes and placed tracing paper at the front ready to produce the shadows. Then, children created a storyboard of the story and choreographed their own puppet show before using their computing skills to film it and edit it on iMovie. Later, one of our puppet shows produced by the children was shown in assembly to share the story again with the whole school.
