As part of Year 5’s Topic, Best of British, all children within the year group took part in Oak Meadow’s very own Great British Bake Off! Children worked collaboratively in groups, in order to plan, design and make their very own cake!
Throughout the day, children engaged in a range of activities that enabled them to apply their maths and English skills to everyday situations, whilst also broadening their Cultural Capital journey. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and there was a wave of excitement when the cakes were finally tasted and judged by members of staff!
