Diwali Day

On Friday November 10th the children wore colourful clothes for our Diwali celebrations. They experienced various crosscurricular activities whilst linking their learning to the meaning of Diwali – The Festival of Light. These included dance, kabaddi (child version!), rangoli, sculpting diva lamps and baking naan bread!

We ended the day with a ‘Showcase Assembly’ where children were given the opportunity to share their knowledge and personal experiences of Diwali.

Our wonderful school choir led the singing of the song Happy Diwali as we all danced and joined in the party atmosphere!

At the end of the day parents and carers were invited to create rangoli patterns using various materials on our KS1 playground.

A fun day was had by all!
